Ductless air conditioning is one of the newest hot trends in home air conditioning. These can include outdoor units and indoor units. There is a compressor unit around the outside wall of the house. Then two tubes run inside the home through the wall to deliver the collant to the interior of the home. Most of these systems have more than one units indoors, allowing you to place them in various locations throughout the house.
The main reason that people choose to use ductless air conditioning is that it is energy efficient. This is because a traditional duct system needs to push the air down into the basement, and then it needs to push the cold, and thus heavier air back up through the house. Ductless systems place the evaporator a few inches below the cieling, so the cold air can circulate around the house without being forced by a fan. Since cold air is heavier than warm air, gravity does most of the work. Without a fan doing the work, it uses considerably less energy.
When you use this kind of air conditioning system, you can also have the benefit of being able to use multiple interior units. That means that you can pick and choose which areas of the house to cool, so if there are rooms that you don't really use, you don't need to air condition them. This is an additonal energy efficiency, and energy savings. You may even be able to cut your energy bills by half without ever having to suffer in the heat.
Due to the fact that the cold air comes out near the cieling, you also don't have the issue of having cold floors the way you might with central air systems. It also cools the room much faster because the ductless unit uses much colder air than window units and central air units.
There are a few other benefits of ductless air conditioning. Many units can have handy attachments to do things like filter the air, or act as dehumidifiers without actually cooling the air. You can also get louvers that can move to distribute the cool air throughout the entire room automatically. A few units can even be used to provide heat in cold weather.
There is an additonal cost to installing a ductless air conditioning unit, so it may not be something you want to install if you don't plan to stay in your home long term. They are also not the sort of thing that can be easily installed except by a highly trained HVAC professional, unlike an easy to install window unit. However, over a long haul you will have a much more comfortable and energy efficient home with ductless air conditioning that it will most certainly be worth the initial cost.

Ductless air conditioning is a great way to get rid of the scorching heat especially during the summers, no matter in which part of your home you are sitting. That is to say, now you don't have to get separate air conditioners fixed in each of your rooms, as the ductless air conditioning is sufficient.
