What is Ductless Air Conditioning?

If you're looking to get a more efficient air conditioning unit, then you would do well to look into a ductless air conditioning system. You may be asking, what is a ductless air conditioning system?

Ductless systems, which are also referred to as split air conditioners, are designed with an evaporator inside your home, and the condenser outside, since the compressor is outside, it is much more quiet than a unit that is located inside your home. In a sense, it's sort of like having a window unit, except that it is mounted on the wall, and the compressor is outside, so it is more quiet than a window AC unit.

Ductless air conditioning requires no ductwork to be installed in your home. Additionally, the units are mounted high on the wall. Each evaporator unit contains the cooling coil, the fan, and a control panel. Each unit installed is able to be controlled individually. So, by using a ductless mini split air conditioning system, you are able to use zone cooling of your home.

Instead of being required to cool areas of your home that you are not using, you can set each room to an individual setting. This will significantly reduce your cooling bills. It's also much quieter and more efficient than a window unit.

If it's time to rethink your home air conditioning strategy, a ductless air conditioner is a great way to go.
